It's the serious business of Germany's 13th annual deer calling championships.

這是認真的事情：德國第13屆鹿鳴冠軍賽。

Eight men and one woman vied for the title in Dortmund.

八位男士與一位女性，在多特蒙德競爭這項頭銜。

And competition judge, Konrad Esterl says deer calls are complex and varied.

比賽裁判Konrad Esterl說，鹿鳴是複雜的且各種各樣的。

[Konrad Esterl, Competition Judge]:

"It's important to imitate the deer call as closely as possible. The mating deer has a different call than an old deer ... and the very old deer is sitting comfortably in the brush and doesn't say that much anymore."

比賽裁判說：「儘可能接近地模仿鹿鳴是很重要的。交配中的鹿比起老鹿有不同的鳴叫…老鹿舒服地坐在林子裡，不再會說很多。」

Imitating deer calls is an important part of hunting.

模仿鹿鳴是打獵很重要的一部份。

But contestant Immo Ortlebb says it's not only about shooting the animals.

但是參賽者Immo Ortlebb說，這並不僅只是射擊動物而已。

[Immo Ortlebb, Contestant]:

"It's not always about shooting them or hunting them, but it's a nature spectacle. To get very close to the deer, just a few meters away, is extremely enjoyable."

Immo Ortlebb說：「這並總是關於射擊或是獵捕牠們，而是一種自然的場景。當非常接近鹿的時侯，只有幾公尺以外，是極為享受的。」

And the only female entrant, Hildergard Zervos agrees.

唯一女性的參賽者Hildergard Zervos同意這一點。

[Hildergard Zervos, Participant]:

"It's a joy. I just like it and you get a bit closer to nature."

Immo Ortlebb說：「這是一種樂趣。我就是喜歡，你會更接近自然。」

The winner was Andreas Toepfer who will represent Germany at the European championships in Slovenia.

最後贏家是Andreas Toepfer，將代表德國參加在斯洛維尼亞的歐洲冠軍賽。
