The U.S. film producer』s documentary is about to finish.

of Ai Weiwei laid out on the ground.

The 26-year-old New York producer Alison Klayman

didn』t expect Ai』s arrest even before her film was done.

Alison has been filming Ai』s artistic life for 2 years.

She filmed the scene of Chengdu police beating him.

When the police caught her and forced her to delete

the recording, she managed to hide it away and save it.

After Ai』s arrest, she incorporated the latest news and

Ai』s previous concern about his potential danger.

She said that his concern was visionary and is real now.

Working long term in Beijing, Klayman (also known

as Chen Aili) also contributed special coverage to VOA

and CBC. She received 2007 AP School Report Award.

Coincidentally, BBC made a TV program in Jan. 2011

entitled "Ai Weiwei, Without Fear or Favor."

It introduces Ai』s art achievement and his growth.

    There』s a story about Ai』s masterpiece,

100 million Chinese Seeds made of ceramics.

They were wholly hand-made by 1600 skilled

workers with about 30 procedures in 2 years.

Ai said, each of these seeds symbolizes an independent

individual and the preciousness of a life.

This masterpiece of his is still being exhibited in

the Tate Modern Gallery of London.

On the afternoon of Apr. 9, dozens of writers, painters

and reporters spread 2000 photos of Ai over the floor

of Seeds in the gallery, expressing their concerns.

Ai』s images also appeared in Hong Kong and China.

Tuesday in Hong Kong, a girl was followed by police

for spraying Ai』s image on the street.

Some folk art organizations in Hong Kong want to

launch street parade on Saturday to free Ai Weiwei.

On one underground path in Hefei bobbed up Ai』s

images, drawing quite a crowd from the passersby.

According to the Graffitist girl, people do not only paint

on walls, they draw on cash. With the spreading of cash,

appeals to free Ai have been spreading wider and wider.

    Martin Rennert, president of the

Berlin Univ. of the Arts, confirmed that the university

had offered Ai a visiting professorship, and tried to

deliver the offer letter to his wife via Ai』s office in

Hong Kong, hoping that Ai could receive this letter

    in person.
