2月7號，重慶前公安局長、薄熙來的打黑幹將王立軍，出逃到美國駐四川成都領事館尋求庇護一事被曝光後，立即在全世界成為爆炸性新聞。

新唐人紐約記者曾錚：「今天（23號）下午，我就遇到一件非常有意思的事，我在聯合國外面採訪的時候，就有一個華人走過來問我：你是不是新唐人的？我說，是啊！他說，那王立軍現在到底怎麼樣了？他最新的發展怎麼樣了？因為他說他是從外地來的，結果這兩天到了紐約不方便，沒有看到電視，所以就不知怎麼樣了？然後，他就覺得《新唐人》肯定知道王立軍的最新發展。因為他來之前，他看過《新唐人》的評論，他覺得講得非常有道理。」

《新唐人》新聞中心總編龐忠表示，王立軍事件發生後，《新唐人》電視臺和網站的一些節目和欄目，都增加了播放數量﹔網站主打新聞欄目「環球直擊」幾乎最新的新聞一出來，第一時間放在最重要的位置上，及時的報導出去。觀眾第一時間就能看到。

龐忠：「王立軍事件出來以後，我們《新唐人》的節目和網站，網站的點擊率大幅度的增加。比以前的最高歷史時期的點擊率都要提高一倍還多，增加了幾十萬。所以，從整個情況來看，觀眾點擊率這方面非常踴躍，而且都是從國內翻牆出來觀看《新唐人》的網站。」

對於這次王立軍事件發生後，為甚麼有那麼多的人關注這件事情呢？

項守信：「王立軍這個案子他牽扯到中國整個高層這些黑幕，最大，從王立軍牽扯到薄熙來，從薄熙來牽扯到周永康，從周永康牽扯到江家幫，這一系列問題都牽扯進去了。所以是非常非常的大。尤其是把美國都牽扯進來了，這臺戲是非常熱鬧。」

有觀眾表示，多數大陸民眾認為，由於王立軍和薄熙來在重慶打黑，製造許多冤案，跑去民主國家請求庇護的應該是被他們壓迫的人，然而王立軍竟然跑去尋求庇護，讓人不可思議。所以，民眾更加想知道真相。

Wang Lijun's case, upon exposure, shocked the whole world,

becoming the focus for Chinese and overseas audiences.

The outside world believes that it's a symbolic case, which

reflects the tyranny of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

While the CCP blocks information, both Chinese and

overseas audience still learn in time about Wang's case.

Through NTD Television and its website, audiences can

Here is some of the feedback.

On Feb 7, Wang Lijun, former Head Director of the

Police Department of Chongqing, and Bo Xilai's

right-hand man for the anti-crime campaign, fled to the

American Embassy in Chengdu, Sichuan, for asylum.

This explosive news shocked the world upon exposure.

While the CCP blocked the information in China, NTD

and its website reported about Wang Lijun's case in time.

It won the praise of both Chinese and overseas audiences.

Audience from China think that NTD's reports are timely

Li Guohong: “Firstly, about Wang Lijun's case, NTDTV

reported incredibly quickly.

Secondly, it got a lot of information about Wang Lijun's

fleeing to the American Embassy from many different people.

Also, the analysis on the trend, and the reasons which trigger

such an incident, was given by people from many angles.

There are many new points, which make people think,

and they did a good job. ”

Also, foreign audiences, especially overseas Chinese said that

you can only know the truth and trends about Wang Lijun's

case through the NTDTV and the Epoch Times.

An NTD reporter in New York, Zeng Zheng, said:

“This afternoon (February 23), I met something interesting.

When I was interviewing outside of the United Nations,

a Chinese person came to me asking: are you from NTDTV?

I said yes. He then asked about the current situation of Wang

Lijun and latest trend.

He said he's on a trip in New York and hadn't watched

NTDTV for two days, so he didn't know the latest news about

Wang's case.

He believed that NTDTV must know the latest trend about

Wang, because he read NTDTV's commentaries before

coming to New York and found them very persuasive.”

NTDTV News Director, Pang Zhong, said that after Wang

Lijun's case, the ratings of NTDTV and its website all went up.

For NTDTV's main program, “Global Hit,” the latest news

is put on the most eye-catching place and reported timely,

so that the audience can watch it immediately.

Pang Zhong: “After Wang Lijun's case, the ratings of

NTDTV programs and website all increased substantially,

even twice as many as the previous record-high, increased

by several hundred thousand.

On the whole, the hit-rates went up dramatically, mostly

from audience from mainland China who broke the internet

blockage to watch NTDTV.”

Why are so many people paying attention

to Wang Lijun's case?

Xiang Shouxin: “Wang Lijun's case reveals the darkness

of the top officials in the CCP, from Wang Lijun to Bo Xilai.

From Bo Xilai to Zhou Yongkang, from Zhou Yongkang to

the whole faction of Jiang, all of them were involved.

Therefore it is huge. Especially the US is involved, so this

incident becomes more dramatic.”

Some viewers said that most domestic Chinese people

believed that the anti-crime campaign led by Bo Xilai and

Wang Lijun made many wrongs.

People who should ask for asylum are those who got

suppressed by them, but Wang went for asylum,

which was incredible.

Therefore, the general public eagerly want the facts.
